Williams
& White is
a well established conservation and restoration company based in the beautiful
rolling Herefordshire countryside.
We are a small family run concern with a love, dare I say a passion, for finding, restoring and developing old and listed buildings into wonderful comfortable homes that are a delight to own.
To date we have restored a number of individual listed timber & stone buildings, and love to take an old barn, cottage or house and be able to restore it to it's former glory, while at the same time create a modern comfortable new home for it’s owner.
We
enhance their original features with traditional building methods & materials.
We work with both seasoned and green oak, fixed with mortice and tenon joints;
lay roofs of slate and stone; use lime mortars in our welsh stone walls; and
lime washes on our timbers.
We have a reputation for providing quality interior designs, with traditional handcrafted work of a high specification using oak for flooring, windows, doors, skirting and architrave. We expose old timbers and stone walls to show off the age and character of the property; and yet still provide the modern day comforts of under-floor heating and full insulation, en-suites with his & her wash basins, multiple TV and telephone points, and handcrafted fitted kitchens with electrical appliances.
